Conservation & Restoration
We have gained experience working on Conservation projects of listed Heritage properties both in Ireland and the UK. The principal of this firm has been involved as an engineer and a project manager on multi-million euro refurbishment projects that involve detail investigation of the existing structures, working with the Local Authority Conservation Officers to find the most appropriate workable solution. Our attitude is that older buildings need to be lived in and used, we as a society must allow buildings to evolve to meet society’s needs. That said, we need to ensure that all elements of artistic merit and heritage value are maintained for the enjoyment of all.
Under current legislation, property owners are required to maintain their property and prevent any further deterioration of that property. Works required on a listed property must be approved through Planning Permission or confirmed as exempt through a Declaration before work is commenced on the property.
It may be necessary to engage a Conservation Architect in order to facilitate the progress of any application through the local authority planning section. We have a number of firms with whom we have previously worked and will facilitate this process in the most feasible manner.
Examples of projects that our staff have been involved in:

- Domestic residences, Blackrock, Dorsett Street, Phibsboro, Clontarf
